The authors delve into the life and career of the artist, as well as his role in advancing modernist art in Spain and abroad, while simultaneously exploring his relationships and philosophies. Thoughtfully written and well researched, each section is insightful, such as the attitudes reflected in Casas\u2019s portrayal of gender through his art, for example. The photographs are beautiful and of high quality.
