She rushed over to show it to me, asking if I could guess which house it was. I quickly thumbed through &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/overbrookpress.com\/BackStory\/?p=1655\">A Pride of Place<\/a>&#8220;, still laying open on the kitchen counter where, just the day before, we had been identifying all the houses we recognized. She smiled mischievously as I tried guessing unsuccessfully among my favorite historical properties in the county. After several hints, it dawned on me hand-to-mouth! This is the very house that &#8212; at first sight &#8212; inspired the creation of House Key&#8217;s Greigston Manor! Only it looks much different now than it did back then. Like Greigston Manor, it too has a storied past, having gained tremendous notoriety after it was sold to the subsequent owner mentioned on the back of the photograph.
